General Objectives

Development and implementation of sustainable interventions to improve the health and well being of communities with a focus on the control and prevention of major public health problems and unnecessary blindness and visual impairment.
Specific Objectives
- Build capacity of professionals and the development of human resource.
- Conduct research to generate the evidence-base required for designing interventions.
- Implement projects in prevention and control of diseases
- Address the leading causes of visual impairment and blindness such as trachoma, cataract, and uncorrected refractive errors
- Produce and distribute essential materials and supplies for health programs

Develop specific thematic program design and strategic plans in integrated health and eye care including monitoring and evaluation.

Provide information on organizations, institutions, societies etc. engaged and potentially interested in the implementation, support, research, and training in community health and eye care.
